Project Description

This home was designed for an empty nester couple and features a single floor living design in a private meadow. The home has many "Green" design features. It was oriented on an east west axis to maximize winter solar gain but also provided with generous overhangs to block out unwanted sun in the summer months. It was also designed to capture the cool summer night air rolling down the slope towards the house. The two cupolas feature electronically operated windows to vent out warmer air and create natural circulation. The main house cupola is fitted with a whole house fan as well.
